Dorchester Brewing Company is hosting our 4th Annual Mustachio Bashio to celebrate Movember with food, live music, raffles/prizes and a very special beer release, all to help raise funds and awareness for men’s health and cancer towards the Movember Foundation.
The Mustachio Bashio Party invites all Mo Bro’s and those supporting the cause to celebrate at the brewery! A suggested cash donation of $10 (or $20 per family) will include food from Wahlburgers, mustache pretzels courtesy of DJ’s European Bakery in Dorchester served from 3-5pm and treats compliments of Kilvert & Forbes Bakery in Faneuil Hall and Belgian Boys. You’ll also enjoy acoustic sounds from local musician, Joe McDonough from 3-6pm. 100% of the donation proceeds will be given to The Movember Foundation.
Special Movember Beer Release of our Stache Saison with a portion of the proceeds going to The Movember Foundation!
We’ll also be raffling off some fun surprises to help support the cause!
This event is very close to Dorchester Brewing Company’s heart, because one of our co-founders, Holly Irgens’ husband, Mike Irgens, was diagnosed with cancer in the winter of 2014 and we want to continue to raise awareness and funds towards this cause.
About The Movember Foundation
The Movember Foundation is the only global charity focused solely on men’s health. Men and women sign up at Movember.com, and choose to Grow, Move or Host. Men start Movember 1st clean-shaven and grow only a moustache for the month, or men and women can commit to move every day during Movember or host an event. Participants get friends, family, or colleagues to donate to their efforts to change the face of men’s health.
The Movember community has raised over $710 million and has funded more than 1,200 men’s health projects in 21 countries to date. This work is helping men live happier, healthier, and longer lives through investing in these key areas: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention.
