Down South Saturday

This weekend, we’re bringing the best of the South to Boston! Join us for an afternoon of live music, traditional Southern food AND fresh beer of course. We’ve got the Birch Hill Ramblers, a bluegrass band from Newton with special guests Jim Guttmann, David Chernak and Sarah Morrow from 1-3 and our favorite N’Awlins Food Truck, Revelry Boston will be serving up their authentic down South cooking from 1-8pm with a special Nashville Hot Chicken dish to die for! Join us for an afternoon of beer filled with your favorites from the South!

About The Birch Hill Ramblers

The Birch Hill Ramblers hail from Newton Massachusetts. David and Ed Goldfinger are twins who grew up on Birch Hill Road and were active in the music programs in Day Junior High School and Newton North back in the ‘70s. David was a folk singer-songwriter in the Cambridge area in the ‘80s, performing at venues like Club Passim and Johnny D’s. He was known for his evocative lyrics and finger-picking guitar style. Ed took up the banjo more recently and recruited his son Paul, a senior at Newton North High School to take up the upright bass to form the bluegrass trio that now makes up the group.

About Revelry Boston Food Truck

The Revelry Food Truck brings a unique taste to the city of Boston: Authentic New Orleans Cuisine. In a city full of restaurants and food trucks serving a wide variety of international foods and tried and true American favorites such as burgers, barbeque, and pizza, there is a gap when it comes to New Orleans, or as the locals call it, N’awlins Cuisine. While options for traditional “southern food” abound, the traditional Cajun and Creole food of New Orleans cannot be found in Boston. //www.revelryboston.com/
